I began my career as an International Flight Attendant at age 19 with Northwest Airlines where I flew mostly to Asia, India, Europe and Australia. It was on one of these flights that I met a man by the name of Matt Hudson. He was the radio station manager for Z104 Madison, Wisconsin. He later invited me to attended a Bobby Poe convention with him in Atlanta where I met many of the top record company executives including Rich Fitzgerald VP Warner Bros Records, Bob The Beak Myers VP Island Records, Phil Quarterero CEO Arista Records, Charlie Minor VP A&M Records, and many others. Rich Fitzgerald with WB offered me a position as a freelance promoter. I worked regularly with him for many years as well as subbing for all the above and more. I have done promotions for Bad Company, 38 Special, Damn Yankees, Ted Nugent, Eddie Money, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Ocean and many others. I am not a music critic and have no formal education in music however my history in the music industry has given me the knowlegde of the music business as well as many friends and contacts still with the record companies today. If you invite me to review your band and there is a cover charge, you must leave 2 passes at the door for myself and a guest. With or without a cover, add a couple of beers and/or wine for me and my guest and I'll put you at the top of my review list!

How HapNinZ Happened

Sitting home alone on a Saturday night, I wanted to find something to do. A local band to go listen to, karaoke, open mic, anything other than sit home and watch tv alone on a Sat. night. I sat at my computer and pulled up many different bands' and venues' sites and FaceBook pages but by the time I found something I was interested in, it was after midnight so I went to bed. The next morning I woke up and immediately began working on HapNinZ. With the idea of promoting local artists and their venues, HapNinZ was created. So the next time you're wondering "What's HapNin around Charlotte", pull us up. It's fast, it's easy, it's free and it's HapNin !!!
